I have to admit I’ve been having issues with body image lately. Then I remember everything my body is capable of. It is strong, flexible and graceful. It is capable of doing so many things, and I have worked hard to obtain a body that allows me to do these things. Daily it overcomes chronic illness, it runs on batteries. Hell, it’s bionic. It is fighting battles - both mental and physical- under the surface, and it is winning them.
And it makes me think. If my body, my amazing, strong, beautiful body is capable of all of that, how can I possibly hate it?
